The ASUS P735 has a dimensions of 109 mm x 59 mm x 19 mm and weighs in at a slightly heavier than normal 143 grams - a reflection of the additional services on offer. While the Li-Ion 130 mAh battery supply is top of the range, there are few details about standby and talk time as yet. The ASUS P735 supports the majority of networks available including UMTS, GSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 which enables connection around the world. The handset itself is dominated by the TFT touch sensitive display screen which is 2.8 inches from corner to corner.
The display resolution is a useful 240 x 320 pixels, and supports up to 65,000 colour combinations. As is common in today’s handsets, the ASUS P735 has a top of the range 2 megapixel camera installed, offering a variety of functionality including tradition still pictures, video clips and video calls (something which is set to take off in the short term). The camera itself offers an exceptional 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution, flash and autofocus for the best results. It also offers an array of data transfer functionality including GPRS, 3G, WLAN Bluetooth and USB although there is no infrared, EDGE or HSCSD facility, which would have added a nice finish to the phone.
The ASUS P735 also has a WAP 1.2/2.0 browser and operates under the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC operating system. The ASUS P735 is a top of the range mobile which is both well designed, and offers the vast majority of modern day services. The name of ASUS is growing with each release, and the ASUS P735 will certainly assist in this.
