A portable media player with integrated camcorder from Archos

Archos, a leading maker of portable media players, has released their 404 player with an integrated camcorder. The seven ounce player has a 30GB hard drive and a 3.5-inch LCD screen that can display 320 by 240 pixels. A lithium-ion battery powers the player and Archos claims it can give up to eight hours of music playback or two and a half hours of video play.
The integrated camcorder records 30 fps at 640 by 480 pixels and the videos are encoded with the MPEG 4 codec. 1.3-megapixel still images can also be captured. Like other Archos portable media players, the 404 can record almost any video or audio signal with an optional dock that provides AV inputs.

The Archos 404 was originally announced last year, but the launch was delayed until now. The Archos 404 retails for around $300.
